Life as a pencil
An old woman was writing with a pencil. Her grandson asked. “Grandma, are you writing about me??
“No,the old woman replied. You’ll have to write your own story. But, I’ll tell you how you should write."Looking at her grandson, the old woman continued. “This is how you should do it. First, you’ll write your own story, like the pencil. It’s up to you how your story should be written, how you make your life to be. Second, look at this pencil, you write with the lead inside, not the wood outside. So, it’s what inside your heart that counts, not the outside. Third, from time to time this pencil will be blunted, just as we encountered problem in life. We need to sharpen the pencil, so we should recharge ourselves and overcome the problems. Fourth, after writing with the pencil and if we make mistakes, we can rub off and start anew. So, in life, if we make mistakes we should admit to them and start afresh. Fifth, notice the pencil leaves marks after rubbing off, so we should be careful not to make mistakes. Otherwise, they can become a mess to clean up."
